Design, Inspiration & Quality: 'Whirligig' is a unique and high-quality full-size silk pocket square with hand-sewn hem, Made in England. It is a fresh take on classic designs held in the archives at our pocket square manufacturing partner. The rich archives have been assembled over the years from their own designs as well as from those of notable silk printers from Macclesfield's illustrious past.
The name 'Whirligig' was inspired by the pocket square's repeat pattern, which is reminiscent of the spinning toys forever associated with British beach holidays. The design is composed of a green background with a medallion design of red, blue & dull gold.
In Macclesfield, the home of English silk printing, the artwork is reproduced with great care. This enables a good balance of design colour & clarity between the printed and reverse sides of the fine Mulberry silk twill, ensuring the pocket square looks perfect whichever fold is used. The pocket square is finished with a skilfully hand-rolled & hand-sewn 'shoestring' hem in blue. The overall quality of this pocket square from the UK's leading maker is what you would normally expect to find only on London's Savile Row or Jermyn Street.
