John Lawson

Otway & Orford are proud to collaborate with artist John Lawson on our stylish and unique silk pocket square ‘On a Mission’, inspired by the ‘company car’ of the British Secret Service’s most famous fictional agent.

Much of John’s work is automotive as he has a real passion for cars, interested not only in their performance but also their design, form and function. His paintings hang in collections with some of the world’s most iconic driving machines and the deliberate looseness of artistic style enables John to capture the true essence of these famous cars.

The original artwork for ‘On a Mission’ was painted in acrylic on canvas. Thanks to the nature of the paints, John was able to create layers as well as introduce colours and shapes that convey a high-speed chase whilst still depicting the beauty of the car’s design.
