Design, Inspiration & Quality: 'Millefiori' is a unique and high-quality medium-size silk square with hand-sewn hem, Made in England. It is a fresh take on classic designs held in the archives at our silk square manufacturing partner. The rich archives have been assembled over the years from Adamley's own designs as well as from those of notable silk printers from Macclesfield's illustrious past.  

The design is composed of a green background with a paisley border and a central panel with a repeat pattern of small 'flowers' of blue, deep red & orange. The name 'Millefiori' is taken from the Italian words for 'thousand' and 'flowers' and was chosen as the repeat design in the silk square's central panel brings to mind the technique of the same name that produces small flower-like decoration on glassware.

In Macclesfield, the home of English silk printing, the artwork is reproduced with great care. This enables a good balance of design colour & clarity between the printed and reverse sides of the AAA quality Mulberry silk twill, ensuring the silk square looks perfect whichever way it is worn. The silk square is finished with a skilfully hand-rolled & hand-sewn 'shoestring' hem in orange. 

Gift Presentation: 'Millefiori' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the stylish silk square comes tissue-wrapped.
